I create all kinds of accessories, such as bags, scarves, stoles and more. I'm inspired by anything and everything; a colour that I want to try dyeing with or a pattern I see somewhere.

My bags and pouches happen because I find a design that I know I would use myself. The temptation to recreate it in fabrics and prints of my choice is irresistible.

For my Shibori scarves I use Habutai silk that I cut down to size. This technique uses pieces of wood, found items, clothespins, old CDs, anything that will resist the dye. As every piece of silk is tied by hand, no product can be identical. This means that every scarf or stole is unique.

Weaving tugs at my heartstrings, and I find the rhythmic to and fro of the shuttle and beater very therapeutic. Plus I love seeing the final fabric as it rolls off the loom.
